Bandaid

For the last several days, every time I put a pull up on Elisabeth, Mathew is constantly asking if its a "bandaid." I have continually told him no, this is a pullup, or a diaper, its NOT a bandaid. He has still persisted every night, several times a night that it is a bandaid. Tonight he started asking the same thing again only this time he pointed to it and said look mom, it's a rabbit, and bandaid. It was just tonight, after several nights of frustration I realized that he was seeing "Bambi" and Thumper on her pull ups, and he really thought it was Bandaid and Thumper. It took quite a bit of prompting, and at least for tonight he is aware that his name is Bambi, not Bandaid.

Little Boogers

Yesterday morning Matthew 3 and Elisabeth 2 were having a very rough morning. It was a morning full of whining, crying, fighting, teasing, and just plain chaos. I spoke up and insisted that they both needed to stop being boogers, or they were going to find themselves taking a nap. For a brief moment, the noise stopped, then I hear a little voice from below asking, "Mama, is Matthew being a booger? I said you both are being boogers, and she replied, "I not, I just whiny. As I look at her sweet, innocent little face, I can't help but smile in the midst of a very stressful and chaotic morning. It's the little things like those that remind me how much I love my job.
